Meet the 2013-2014 M'KIS Parents Association Board

President - Céline

Céline is German and French by birth, but calls Cape Town home. She moved to KL in mid April 2013, after 2 years in Singapore. Her son, in grade 1, and daughter, in KPA, joined M’KIS for the new school year this August. Céline worked for Unilever as a marketer for close to a decade, then switched to agency as JWT’s Brand Planning Director. When she moved to Singapore, she decided to focus on planning her family’s life instead. She is honored to serve as PA President.



Vice-President - Trang

Trang, is Vietnamese by birth but has adopted Iowa/ Texas as her home base. She has lived in KL for 5 ½ years. She has 2 sons at M’KIS, in grades 5 and K. Trang is a valued member of the PA, having served in various capacities for the past 5 years. She has been involved with Little League, Staff Appreciation, UN Day, Carpet Auction, Halloween, Fun Fair and many more. It is hard to imagine our PA without her enthusiastic contribution! Trang is passionate about kids’ sports programs at M’KIS, and charitable fundraising and organizations, especially orphanages and the Tabitha Foundation in Cambodia. Trang is our PA Vice-President.


Recording Secretary - Alissa

Alissa is a chemical engineer taking a break from the corporate world to enjoy expat life. She hails from the U.S.A., and moved from Singapore to KL just short of 2 years ago. She has a son in grade 2, and daughter in grade K. To stay busy, she loves to volunteer at her church and – luckily for us – at school, and also enjoys reading, paper crafting, and cooking/ baking.






Treasurer - Michelle

Michelle is a Singaporean who has been in KL for 2 years. She is the mom of 3 boys, in grades 5, 9 and 11. Michelle has taken on the role of PA Treasurer, a critical responsibility, as the PA is self-funded by the parent body.







Managing Secretary - Erin

Erin is from Canada, with a professional background in nutrition and field sales organization for consumer packaged goods. Erin has a son in grade 3, a daughter in grade 1, and a son who’s 1 year old. She moved to KL only recently, but decided to volunteer as PA Managing Secretary to get to know the school and meet new people.

Communications Officer - Robin

Robin is an avid blogger who moved to Kuala Lumpur from the U.S. in August. She has a Masters in Education and is excited to work as the Communications Officer for the M’KIS PA. She has two sons, one in grade 2 and one in grade 3. When she’s not busy with her two boys, she loves to cook and read.
